My eyes aren’t what they used to be, and my smaller Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (14") had become difficult to use comfortably. This larger model is essentially the same computer, just faster, bigger, and with a numeric keypad. The keypad isn’t my favorite feature, but it’s easy enough to ignore. The dedicated Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys (no need to press Fn first) are a huge plus. The keyboard feel is excellent, and the machine runs impressively quiet. The only downside is that it comes with Windows 11. While I was told downgrading to the far superior Windows 10 would be easy, I decided to try Windows 11 for a while first. Unfortunately, many of the features I rely on were removed, and I’m not interested in Microsoft’s marketing-driven design choices. Update: After a few weeks with Windows 11, I could tolerate it—but barely. Once I switched to Windows 10, this laptop truly came alive. It runs beautifully. One day it’ll be Linux full-time, but for now, Windows 10 is the sweet spot
